The Verge Magazine homepage has synergy with the front cover of The Verge magazine with the same font and similar layout. Just under the Masthead it displays the date that the magazine was issued and a bit further down the website has its 8 different sections of tech, reviews, science, creators, entertainment, video, features, and podcasts. To the right of that it also has links to the Facebook and Twitter accounts for The Verge magazine which attracts the customer to follow social media accounts which then increases the companies online presence. This magazine doesn't use much white like many other magazine websites to reach their target audience of younger people. I like the layout of the photos, they are around the same size and arranged in a 3 by 3 square but they are not lined up perfectly. Just above the pictures there is a space for advertising, this is a prime spot for companies as it is one of the first things they will see when opening the homepage. 
The company uses advertising to earn money. The more readers there are on the website the more money they will sell the spaces for to companies with products which reach the same target audience as the magazine. Each photo has its own little paragraph explaining the basics of what that feature contains.


"Subscribe to get the best Verge-approved tech deals of the week" - Call to action, attract customers with deals and increases profit for the company with user spending more money.
The section with subheading, "Featured Videos", users can play the videos on the website which gives the user a better look at the products they are showing.


At the bottom of the page the website includes the institutional details which allows the user to contact the company for any reason. Also their is a link if the user wants to have one of their product advertised with the webpage. There is also the policies and guidelines that the company and community must follow.

Interview script

Eloise: Hello Surge readers and welcome to an exclusive interview with Hedley Adams. So, Hedley you are a sports business entrepreneur, how are you so motivated to get into it?

Hedley: It's just about making a lot of stuff and a lot of people are very happy with the wok that i am doing so, it's just the positive feedback from the customers 

Eloise: So, how do you consider the way your audience thinks when it comes to your business?

Hedley: I just think about what people want and most importantly what people need so that kind of comes into consideration 

Eloise: And where do you see yourself in the future.

Hedley: Still the same just making the same stuff, always trying to improve the products that im making and still making people happy with what I'm doing

Eloise: Now, people think that you're going to be the next Elon Musk, what do you think about that?

Hedley: That would be good, but we'll have to wait and see
